Halloween Themed Skincare

I love October, lots going on and the weather is changing. It’s time to think about the holidays, who know what this year holds for us. I have always enjoyed decorating for the holidays and looking forward to going to events, that won’t happen this year. I can still decorate and this year. I decided to continue doing fun relaxing self care routines at home with fun themed facials and body care. I’m going to share with you some of my facials and body skin care recipes that have #halloweenedition –

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Mask
Just the adorable name of this product makes me want to put on piggy ears and giggle. If you have not tried a bubbling carbonated mask, definitely give it a try. I found this good quality bubbling carbonated facial mask that you get multiple uses out of for $10? It comes in the cutest piggy package and even has a little spatula.
I enjoyed the bubbling, tingling sensation while it was on. I felt that the bubbles do help work dirt and oil out of your pores while you have it on. After rinsing, I did find that my pores were smaller and cleaner. Also my skin looked super smooth and was glowing.

PLast year I wrote a beauty page for Joli Magazine with a pumpkin facial recipe I just love. I’ll share that here with you and also how to use pumpkin for a full body scrub. Pumpkin has so many wonderful qualities for your skin. The best one I think is pumpkin fruit enzyme, it’s a great natural exfoliant. Pumpkin also contains vitamin A, C, and E, and antioxidants, which help fight sun damage and wrinkles. Finally, it contains zinc and potassium to combat redness.

Pumpkin-Cinnamon Facial:

I start with 1 cup canned organic pumpkin one 1/2 cup natural raw sugar 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons honey 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon oil and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. For body blend pumpkin, olive oil, and cinnamon oil, and honey, (save a little aside for your face) adding the sugar in last.

If you like, gently warm the mixture for about 10 seconds in the microwave, covered, and mix gently again before applying. In the shower, with a washcloth, use the scrub on the washcloth to massage into your skin, shower off. Remember, even though a hot shower sounds amazing in winter, a luke warm shower in winter is best. A hot shower strips away essential oils which help combat dryness in winter. Apply coconut oil to damp skin for the best absorption. For your face follow the above directions add the lemon juice to the mix you saved before you add the sugar. When you apply to your face, you may choose to leave the facial on for 10 minutes to let the pumpkin enzymes do their magic. Gently scrub your face with a washcloth, pat dry and use your favorite moisturizer. There you have it, beautiful winter skin, but who says aging means looking and feeling older? I say, everyday is an opportunity to try something new, turn back the aging clock and feel beautiful!

Green Monster Mask
In a food processor mix, 1/2 avocado 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 egg white. Make sure that a well combined paste is produced. I love this recipe because has the ability to dissolve oil and dirt on the skin and ensure that skin texture remains soft and smooth. This formula is great for people with oily skin, of your skin is dry, add 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt. I leave this mask on for 20 minutes.

Enjoy these fall fun masks! I would love to hear what you do for skin care in the fall. Let me know I’d love to hear from you!
